Many of today’s vehicles were factory filled with long life or extended life engine coolants. The benefits of these coolants were to extend the length of service intervals. Although a good idea many of these systems have been neglected leading to cooling system damage, potential overheating and possible breakdowns. Additional system stress stems from severe weather conditions like winter extreme cold and summer extreme heat.
