Service Warranty Policy

This Warranty is only for you and the vehicle serviced. It is not transferable. STS Tire & Auto Centers will not be responsible for any consequential or indirect damage under this warranty. Implied warranties shall be limited to the duration of this Warranty and shall exclude consequential damages. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you (but in no event shall the inapplicability of such limitations or exclusions invalidate any other terms of this Warranty).

A buyer of STS Tire & Auto Center products or service has the right to have warranty service performed during the warranty period. The warranty period will be extended for the number of whole days that the vehicle has been out of the buyer’s hands for warranty repairs. If a defect exists within the warranty period, the warranty will not expire until the defect has been fixed. The warranty period will also be extended if the warranty repairs have not been performed due to delays caused by circumstances beyond the control of the buyer, or if the warranty repairs did not remedy the defect and the buyer notifies the Service Center which performed the warranted service of the failure of the repairs within 60 days after they were completed. If, after a reasonable number of attempts, the defect has not been fixed, the buyer may return their vehicle for a replacement of parts, if applicable, or a refund, in either case, subject to deduction of a reasonable charge for usage. This time extension does not affect the protection or remedies the buyer has under other laws.

Every automotive service that an STS Tire & Auto Center performs is backed by a Limited Warranty. For all services not covered by specific warranties in this booklet, the minimum warranty is 12 months or 12,000 miles – whichever comes first.*

Warranty agreement for all services not specified

In the event of failure of materials and/or workmanship, replacement and installation will be made free of charge, including parts and labor.Warranty repair costs will not exceed the cost of the original repair or service.

IMPORTANT: Please keep your service invoices. These documents are needed in order to exercise your warranty privileges.

ALIGNMENT

90 days or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.

BELTS AND HOSES

Parts – STS follows the original manufacturer’s warranty. Labor – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Excludes timing belt which carries a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty, whichever comes first.

BRAKE SERVICE

STS follows the original manufacturer’s warranty. All other parts and labor 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

COOLING SYSTEM

Parts and labor – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

ELECTRICAL

Parts and labor – 90 days or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.

ENGINE TUNE-UP

Parts and labor – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

EXHAUST COMPONENTS

(excluding mufflers) Parts and labor – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

MUFFLER

(excluding pipes and other exhaust components) Parts – STS follows the original manufacturer’s warranty. Labor – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

SHOCK ABSORBERS AND STRUTS

Parts – STS follows the original manufacturer’s warranty. Labor – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

STEERING AND SUSPENSION

Parts and labor – 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

*EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover tires or batteries which have specific warranties. All service warranties exclude special ordered, non-stock products.
